Kirsten Trapani

Kirsten came to real estate after a career in pharmaceutical sales, and it shows in how she negotiates. Her sales include a record-setting $12.5 million estate on Forrester Road in Los Gatos, and a Saratoga home that drew ten offers in its first week and sold $500,000 over asking. She has lived in the area for more than 35 years and raised three children here, all of whom now hold real estate licenses.

Rocco Trapani

Rocco has lived in Los Gatos his entire life, giving him a firsthand understanding of the local neighborhoods, schools and community. A graduate of Bellarmine College Preparatory, he earned his finance degree from Cal Poly and worked alongside Lindsey Harn, the #1 agent in San Luis Obispo County, while in college. He then returned home to team up with his mom, bringing the analytical side of real estate to the family team, from comparative market analysis and offer strategy to negotiations and contracts.

The original Trapani Realty sign on Lincoln Avenue

Our story

In the 1940s, Joseph Trapani opened Trapani Realty on Lincoln Avenue in Willow Glen. The sign out front read “Homes, Ranches, Income,” and he sold homes in that neighborhood for the rest of his career.

His grandson, Chris Trapani, started his real estate career in 1990 and became president of Northern California at Coldwell Banker in 2002. In 2006 he cofounded Sereno Group, where he remains the CEO today. In 2022 Sereno Group partnered with Christie’s to become Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno, the largest Christie’s affiliate by sales volume in the world and the largest privately owned residential brokerage in Northern California.

Today, Kirsten and Rocco carry the family name forward from Monte Sereno. From Willow Glen to Saratoga to Monte Sereno, the Trapanis have always sold homes in the towns they call home.

Giving back

1% for Good

Every home Kirsten and Rocco sell gives back. Through Sereno’s 1% for Good program, 1% of their commissions goes to local nonprofits. The program began in 2012 at Sereno Group, the brokerage Chris Trapani cofounded, and has since given more than $7.6 million to more than 600 local organizations.
